The medical system can be a complicated, complex and scary world.  Let me help you sort through the information and explain it in a manner that is easily understandable.  Then I can assist you in looking at your options and connecting you with the appropriate resources in the community which may even mean attending appointments with you if desired.

Having been a nurse for 44 years and having lived in the Asheville area since 2001, working in a variety of medical and psychiatric settings, both institutional and in the community, I have access to a wide range of resources that could help you.  If I don’t have an immediate answer, I know how to find the desired information.

Also, if you are in a quandary with Social Security Disability, insurance, such as Medicare,  Medicaid, or private insurance, I may be able to help as well.  For example, Medicare Part D requires that every year between October and December 7, people have to re-certify, which puts many seniors on edge.  There is a program that allows providers such as myself to access the system and compare each of >15 plans, matching your medications to what is covered by each plan, choosing the best one for you.
